1. WASHING
Take into account that the number of degrees indicated on the label is a maximum. It’s always better for the durability of your garment to wash at a lower temperature if possible.
Machine wash at or below 30°C | Use regular settings and spin speed
Machine wash at or below 30°C on a delicate wash program | Use a lower spin speed | Load your machine to a maximum of ½ of the total weight to limit friction
Machine wash at or below 30°C on a wool wash program | Use a lower spin cycle | Load the machine to a maximum of 1/3 of the total weight to limit friction
Above instructions also apply to 40°C or 60°C laundry symbols – only the temperatures differ.
Wash by hand, or even better; use a laundry bag and machine wash on a hand wash program at 30°C. Washing by hand increases the chance of rubbing too hard or washing at the wrong temperature - washing machines prevent this. Prefer to wash by hand anyway? Allow the garment to soak gently, do not rub and make sure that the temperature is around 30°C. Colder water can create a shock effect that might cause the garment to shrink.
Do not wash the garment
Manufacturers often choose the safest option as a precaution. With the exception of lined blazers and garments with delicate trimmings, you can often wash the garment safely in a mesh laundry bag using a gentle hand wash program. If this is the case, we always mention this in our shop.
