The catwalks are and endless source of inspiration when it comes to fashion, but also in the field of makeup they inspire us to try new techniques, colors and looks. The 'no makeup look' dominated the streets and the catwalks these past years, but this fall brightly colored eye shadows, rosy blushes, classic lipsticks and black eyeliners are re-entering our daily lives. These are our three favorite makeup trends to keep an eye on this fall and winter. Better start practicing!

A trend that already introduced itself in 2020 and is now continuing into this fall are boozy brows. The fuller and more natural they look, the better. With this new trend, we’re leaving behind the days of super-sculpted and overly-done brows behind us. Use an eyebrow pencil to fill in small gaps (harsh lines are a no-go zone), brush your brows upward and use an eyebrow gel to keep hairs in place all day. Upward brushed brows have a visually lifting effect for the entire face and make your brows look even fuller and larger. And let’s be honest: who doesn’t want that?

Earth tones suit any skin and eye color and can be found in all the eye-shadow palettes this season. The spirit of fall perfectly translates into brown tones and browns are versatile enough for a subtle touch of color on your eyes during the day, or to team with eyeliner and a bold lip in the evening for a more dramatic effect. Earth tones are a solid base for poppy colors to work their magic – think red lips. But different fashion houses also showcased some colorful eyeshadows like blue, yellow, orange or pink. Add some eyeliner for the perfect high-fashion finishing touch. 

After a long period of mouth masks, this trend was just waiting to pop to the surface: bold lips! Create some room for the comeback of classic red lips. This fall, we’re seeing a lot of bright red lips with a blueish undertone, but deep dark reds that lean towards burgundy are also taking over. Matching red nails are the icing on the cake this season.
