Sophie Albou found French Fashion rather dull for her taste, something had to change. In 1995 she started Paul & Joe (named after her sons Paul and Joe) for men and in 1996 she started a line for women. After this its popularity began to rise and Paul & Joe became a great international high fashion brand.

Albou finds inspiration in everything around her; nature, flea-market finds, Japanese manga and people on the street. "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes people are scared," she said to Vanity Fair writer Eve Epstein.

Paul & Joe collections always have the same vibe with a beautiful mix between Parisian vintage, classic and modern with stylish details and creative accents. Stars like Cameron Diaz, Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Sharleen Spitieri and Vanessa Paradis have been spotted in beautiful creations by Paul & Joe.
