Perfectly Basics founded by: Birgit van den Beemt & Peter Blaas Birgit van den Beemt was trained at the Charles Montaigne Academy in Amsterdam and has years of experience in the fashion industry. She first worked as assistant buyer at Intres, later on she worked at Damo, Latido, Amici, Oger and Amedee. Birgit is the CEO and founder of Perfectly Basics. Peter Blaas was managing director at Digiteurs for many years, aside from that he has extensive experience as web designer and worked in lithography. He is the all-around creative director at Perfectly Basics and is in charge of all marketing and photography. At home they are a married couple and at work they are growing stronger as a business couple. The web boutique, Perfectly Basics, is their most recent adventure together. The online shop was setup in a professional way; the collections are shot in their own studio with hand-picked models, so that Peter and Birgit can manage the shoot in their own way. Buying new collections and thinking of new marketing strategies are also done together. In this business venture has Peter and Birgit found the perfect synergy. ‘We find that working together is enriching rather than a boundary,’ they say. The webshop was established in November 2006 and has since then grown into a big success.
