DAY Home was founded in 2005 by Marianne Brandi, the wife of DAY's founder, Keld Mikkelsens. DAY Home is a concept that is derived from three major style, Bohemian Romantic, Modern and Contemporary Classic.

All DAY Home products are made by hand which gives them a little more exclusive character. Some of the major sources of inspiration for the collection is the Far East, especially in terms of colors in the textiles and silver. Embroideries on the pillows are old Australian embroidery or antique embroidery from Kashmir. Obviously slightly modernized and hand-made to convey the special DAY feeling.
