If there is one trend that returns every season it’s the white trend. Everyone has something white hanging or laying around in their closets. The question is how to keep it white and how do you get the most out of your white clothes?

“The best wardrobe starts with the right basic”. With this in mind Peter Blaas and Birgit van den Beemt together with Matthijs Zonneveld started their online shop in November 2006 in basic T-shirts. The choice back then was obvious: round neck or v-neck, long sleeved or short sleeved, black or white. Almost five years later the collection has expanded so much. Black and white T-shirts are still available in the webshop but you can also find dresses, shoes and lingerie.

Savannah was barely eight years old when she created her first dress for her sister and discovered her passion for fashion. The years that followed consisted out attending the prestigious Central Saint Martins and working for famous designers such as Matthew Williamson, Anya Hindmarch and the recently passed away Alexander McQueen. In 2006 she knew it was time to start her own label together with her sister and muse: Sienna Miller. Perfectly Basics talked with Savannah about Twenty8Twelve, fashion and about what inspires her.

Filippa Knutsson, creative director and founder of Filippa K, was spoon-fed her sense for fashion and business. Mother Knutsson was successfully active in children’s fashion and father Knutsson managed the successful Scandinavian fashion formula of Gul &Blå (literally Yellow & Blue). The young Swedish Filippa grew up in London to subsequently return to Sweden where she started working in her father’s company. After a number of years, and having gained a lot of experience, she decided to start her own
label, currently one of Scandinavia’s most well-known fashion brands: Filippa K.
